Today, on August 31, 2014, National Leaders Day was celebrated in our school. In this program, the young artists of the school dressed in costumes like former leaders of their country and honored them.
Some children played the role of Mahatma Gandhi, some Subhash Chandrabos, some played the role of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, some Bhagat Singh. Many children also played the role of Mother Teresa, Swami Vivekananda, Abdul Kalam, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. Everyone told about their characters’.
The Principal Rev. Bro. Satheesh K. Don said by encouraging children “These characters are former leaders of the country and in future you will be the leader of the country. You will become a doctor, an engineer, a teacher, a minister, a player and a scientist and you can reach many high places. Therefore, make sure to make your future firm in the same way, because what you sow today, tomorrow you will get the same result.”
This year Montfort school, Hathiagonda, Ranchi celebrated 73rd Independence Day and Rakshabandhan with great pomp and show. All the teachers and students gathered on the assembly ground.
The Head Boy Master Nitin Lohar welcomed by the Principal Rev. Bro. Satheesh K. Don and invited for flag hoisting. First of all the national flag was hoisted by the Principal. After flag hoisting ceremony and National Anthem a powerful speech delivered by Head Boy. The programme began with a Patriotic dance by the students. Patriotic dance was also shown by different groups which made other students excited.
The Principal encouraged us to become great like Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. All were happy and gay on this pious occasion. In my opinion 15 August is very important to us because this day remind us of the sacrifices of those who gave up their lives for the freedom of India.
Sweets were distributed among the students and the function came to an end with Inter House Football Tournament Senior Boys Finals.
